It treats minor pockets of localised fat — it will not reduce your overall weight, and it is not body sculpting across large surface areas. No alcohol for 24 hours. Come with clean skin, no lotion or oil on the area. During — about an hour. The area is mapped into a grid and small amounts are injected across it. You'll feel stinging and burning during and shortly after; that's the product working on the fat cell membranes. After — expect redness, swelling, tenderness, numbness and bruising. Swelling is often most noticeable on days two and three, and can persist up to two weeks. Arnica gel helps. Ice and paracetamol are fine — not ibuprofen. ────────── AFTERCARE MATTERS MORE HERE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE Your body has to physically clear the broken-down fat. That means: Drink at least two litres of water daily for twelve weeks. This is the single most important thing you can do. Massage the area periodically as directed. Avoid intense exercise for the first week or two. No sun or sunbeds on the area for two weeks — UV exposure raises the risk of pigmentation. Maintain a stable, healthy diet through the course. Skipping the aftercare genuinely reduces your result. We'd rather you knew that before you paid. ────────── WHO ISN'T A CANDIDATE We screen everyone, and we will turn you away if this isn't right for you. Not suitable if you are under 21, pregnant or breastfeeding (we wait six months after either), have a BMI over 30, or have diabetes, liver or kidney disease, or a bleeding disorder such as haemophilia. Also not suitable with anticoagulant medication, a history of keloid scarring, open wounds, active skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis or rosacea in the area, or recent chemical peels, microneedling or cosmetic surgery until all inflammation has resolved. If you have a history of allergic reactions, we can do a patch test first — a tiny test dose, then 24 hours to see how you respond before proceeding. ────────── GOOD TO KNOW Performed by Cecillia Diaz, LVN, under medical director protocol. We take before and after photographs at each visit so you can see the change objectively — gradual results are hard to judge in the mirror.
