A medium-depth peel, considerably stronger than anything sold over the counter, and safe across every skin tone. $180 per peel · About 45 minutes in clinic ────────── THE BASE FORMULA Every VI Peel is built on the same five actives: TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) — the primary resurfacing agent. Softens fine lines, clears acne, and breaks up pigmentation including melasma. Retinoic Acid — vitamin A derivative. Drives cell turnover, smooths wrinkles, and increases skin elasticity and firmness. Salicylic Acid — exfoliates inside the pore and calms inflammation. The acne workhorse. Phenol — aids penetration and acts as a mild anesthetic, which is why the peel is tolerable rather than painful. Vitamin C — antioxidant support and collagen production. The individual formulas then add targeted ingredients on top of that base. ────────── THE FIVE FORMULAS We choose together at your appointment. Same $180 whichever one your skin needs. • VI PEEL ORIGINAL — tone & texture The base formula, nothing added. Ages 13 and up, safe for Fitzpatrick I–VI. For first-time peel clients, sensitive skin, early signs of aging, rough texture, and rosacea. Also the right choice as a maintenance peel two to four times a year once you've corrected an issue. Start here if you've never had a peel. • PRECISION PLUS — pigment Adds Hydroquinone and Kojic Acid. Hydroquinone suppresses melanin production at the source, so new pigment stops forming. Kojic acid fades what's already there. Together they treat melasma, sun and UV damage, age spots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — the marks left after a spot or injury heals. Ages 18+. Safe across all skin tones, and particularly effective on melanin-rich skin where aggressive treatments often backfire. • PURIFY — active acne Adds Benzoyl Peroxide, Hydrocortisone and Kojic Acid. Benzoyl peroxide reduces acne bacteria and comedones. Hydrocortisone calms the inflammation that makes breakouts red and painful. Together they cut sebum production and unclog congested pores. For excessive oil, hormonal acne, adult acne, and congested skin. Treats acne grades 1 through 4. • PURIFY WITH PRECISION PLUS — acne and the marks it leaves The most comprehensive formula. Combines the acne ingredients and the brightening ingredients — Benzoyl Peroxide, Hydrocortisone, Hydroquinone and Kojic Acid — in a stronger solution than Purify alone. For active breakouts alongside the dark marks and scarring from previous ones. Particularly effective on melanin-rich skin, which tends to mark more readily. If you're clearing spots but the brown marks stay for months, this is the one. • ADVANCED — aging skin Higher concentrations of the base actives. The deepest-penetrating formula. For mature skin from around 40, and skin that has proven resistant to lighter treatments. Targets wrinkles, creases and folds, loss of firmness and elasticity, and roughness. Book a free consultation and we'll look at your skin properly. ────────── WHAT TO EXPECT Before — no preconditioning required, which is one advantage of VI over older peel systems. Stop retinoids, exfoliating acids, and waxing for about a week. Come with clean skin and no makeup. Don't book within two weeks of anything you're being photographed at. During — the solution is applied in layers over about 30 minutes. Expect warmth and a brief tingle; the phenol numbs as it goes. You'll leave with the solution still on your skin and wash it off at home four to five hours later. You'll go home with a patient kit: post-peel instructions, post-treatment repair cream, and broad spectrum SPF 50. After — PLAN FOR THIS. Skin looks fine for two days, tightens on day three, then peels visibly through days three to five. Not light flaking — actual sheeting. Clear by day seven. Don't pick or pull it. Let it release on its own or you risk scarring and patchy results. Keep it moisturised, stay out of the sun, wear SPF religiously for two weeks after. Book Wednesday or Thursday and the worst of it lands over the weekend. ────────── RESULTS Brighter, smoother, more even skin once peeling finishes around day seven. Collagen keeps building for weeks afterwards. One peel makes a visible difference. Melasma, stubborn pigment and acne scarring generally need a series of three to six, four weeks apart. Once corrected, two to four peels a year maintains it. Not just for the face — also suitable for the chest, hands, arms, back, and the delicate eye area. ────────── GOOD TO KNOW Performed by Cecillia Diaz, LVN, using VI Peel professional formulations. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding — this matters especially for the hydroquinone formulas. Also unsuitable with active cold sores, on Accutane or recently off it, or over broken or infected skin. Tell us if you get cold sores; peels can trigger an outbreak and it's worth pre-treating. Space peels at least four weeks apart, and don't combine with microneedling in the same visit. If you want both, we'll stagger them.
